maker currently held in a private collection. String length 688 mm. The back is
slightly rounded and made with ribs of rosewood with boxwood spacers. A version
with holly spacers is available as well (pictures). The sides are in rosewood and birdseye maple. The rosette is carved in pear wood and parchment paper (also available with parchment rose [pictures] by Elena dal Cortivo). Decorations of ebony and vegetable ivory around the top and rosette hole (pictures). Price: 2450.00 euro (2550.00 euro for the version with holly spacers). |
